Community Support
I've found it helpful to have tangible resources during the COVID-19 pandemic. While it's easy to say that we should all support high-risk communities, it's sometimes hard to know where to start. Compiling a list of organizations raising support for certain communities, or even just a list of who is particularly at-risk, has been helpful to me, which is why this page focuses on resources and tangible ways to support others.
The novel coronavirus has exacerbated inequalities and is affecting different populations differently. In response to increased inequalities, accounts on Social Media have shared advice on how to care for those who are most affected by the pandemic.
Twitter has become a source of monetary and community support as people create threads to facilitate support.
The Navajo Nation has been particularly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and Indigenous activists on Twitter have strived to bring attention to the difficulties they face, as well as gain support for their communities.
