Description

All the posts included are from the Facebook group, "Oberlin-What do you have? What do you need? PLS READ THE "ABOUT" SECTION," which is described in detail in another item.

Several members of the group would post weekly to encourage those staying in Oberlin to buy from local businesses and farms who had lost a lot of business due to the closing of the Oberlin Student Cooperative Association amid the pandemic once Oberlin College went remote for the semester in mid-March 2020. These include: Oberlin Food Hub, which sources and distributes produce and products from local farmers and Sunny Meadow Meats, local meat and eggs farm.

There was also an initiative to support Kim's Grocery and Takeout, a local Korean-food eatery, which was on the verge of closing due to a lack of customers. On Kim's Community Day, an Oberlin College parent sponsored up to 500 meals that were offered free to the Oberlin community.
