Oberlin Mutual Aid Spreadsheet
Title
Oberlin Mutual Aid Spreadsheet
Subject
Oberlin amid COVID-19
Description
When Oberlin College announced an early closing of on-campus class and student life before Spring Break, this mutual aid spreadsheet was circulated online amongst the student body.
It includes asks and offers of resources, including but not limited to: emotional support and counseling, transport, housing, storage, food, healthcare, money, and employment. It also has a miscellaneous section with offers of help such as packing, taking care of pets, tutoring, running errands, etc. There are currently over 300 entries and offers of support on the spreadsheet, although it was mostly in use in the week before and during the time most students departed from the town of Oberlin for the semester, before remote-learning came into effect.
